Sarah Bales is a Licensed Master Social Worker and the Behavioral Health Manager at Flagstaff Family Care. She graduated from Wesleyan College with a double major in History/Political Science and Women’s Studies. Prior to beginning graduate school, Sarah served in Americorps as a paralegal for Legal Aid. She also worked as a classroom interventionist, providing in-class behavioral and academic interventions to students and also taught sexuality education. Sarah earned her Master of Social Work with an emphasis in physical and behavioral health integration at Arizona State University. In the field of social work, Sarah has worked with homeless youth; hospice patients and their families; general mental health patients; and patients with serious mental illness. When she’s not providing care to patients, Sarah enjoys exploring the Southwest, hot springing, and wildcrafting local herbs. She has an affinity for learning new things, particularly in the area of bio-psycho-social wellness.
